On one Dell laptop, running Iolo System Mechanic 8 apparently caused problems, whereas running either the earlier Iolo System Mechanic 5 or the later Iolo System Mechanic 9 did not seem to cause any problems in this connection As a further note, running Auto Shut on one Dell laptop had the apparent effect of re-activating the Windows functions of hibernation and suspend, which afterwards seemed to work without the continued use of Auto Shut |
